A pair of tooth/tusk Earrings

These silver plated earrings display an item that I am not sure how to categorise. 
They could be teeth or tusks. 
They could be some sort of antique knife. 
I really don’t know. The weird thing is that they arrived in a set of musical instruments I purchased. I suppose they could be some old form of maracas. I just don’t know. I will be grateful if any of you could solve the mystery.
